F. W. Winter, Inc. & Co. is an established supplier of various grades of high-carbon ferro-chromium. The company has established strategic alliances with the direct manufacturers of high-carbon ferro-chromium lump, which is used for melting applications.

The company has a dedicated process to manufacture high quality high-carbon ferro-chromium powders in a wide range of size distributions and carbon contents..

Coarser powders of extra high carbon (9% C min.) ferro-chromium, typically 20x230 mesh, are used for hard facing applications wherein the powder is used to directly deposit an overlay on steel plates, pipes, and other structures.

Powders 50x325 mesh and finer are used in the manufacture of welding electrodes, both flux-cored wire and stick electrodes.

The company also produces a finer grade powder with a median size of around 8 to 12 痠 for powder metallurgy and metal injection molding.

F. W. Winter, Inc. & Co.'s high-carbon ferro-chromium powders have superior characteristics such as shape, flow, and apparent density.
